W.O.W. Week Schedule 2010
W.O.W. stands for Window on the World and it is the name of our annual Missions Conference. This year, our missionaries include: Jeff and Sue Pankratz (India), Jeff Climie (Dominican Republic), and Trey M. (an international worker in the Middle East). The following schedule is an outline of events. If you see an (*) asterisk, please R.S.V.P. by clicking on the highlighted link.
Note: You can register for all activities at once, so read through the desciption of each event first.
Sunday
9:30 a.m. - Sunday School (Trey)
Time will be split between the children/youth who will meet in the Family Life Center and the adults, meeting in the sanctuary.
11:00 a.m. - Worship Service (Trey)
This service will serve as our grand kick-off, setting the stage for the rest of the week.
12:30 p.m. - * Lunch with Young Adults (Trey)
Pizza lunch will be served in room 17. All young adults and “young at heart” are invited. Don’t miss this opportunity! Cost: $5 per person.

6:30 p.m. - Middle School Youth Group (Trey)
Middle schoolers – don’t miss this exclusive time to be with one of our missionaries. Learn how God can use you to support God’s work around the world and even plant seeds for the future.
Monday
6:30 p.m. - * Women & Kids Dinner (Sue, Trey, Jeff C.)
Men in the church will cook and serve a meal for the women who will meet with Sue Pankratz. The children will be served separately and have a program that features Trey and Jeff C. Cost: $5 per person, $15 max per family.

Tuesday
7:00 p.m. - * Internet Café (Trey, Jeff C.)
This is the first of several outreach events. While the others will focus on a specific group of people, this one is for you and your friends. You have two options. 1) You can attend our coffee house style meeting in the Family Life Center, complete with music, free coffee with light refreshments and specialty coffees for a modest donation. Our speakers will give their testimony and present a gospel message. 2) You can also attend by staying at home and logging on your computer: www.instantpresenter.com/encore1. We will broadcast the entire program live over the internet. Consider using this option if: a) you have young children (there will not be a children’s program at the church), b) you live far enough from the church that attending on a weeknight is hard or c) you have a friend to invite, but they would be more comfortable in your home than at church.

Wednesday
12:00 p.m. - * Lunch with Senior Adults (Trey, Jeff C.)
While this meeting will focus on time with Senior Adults, all adults are invited, especially if you weren’t able to attend any of the other weekday meetings. Lunch will take place at Argyle Country Club (14600 Argyle Club Rd, Silver Spring) ordering off the menu. Bring money accordingly.

7:00 p.m. - Outreach Event at the Enclave (Jeff C.)
This outreach event is designed to reach the residents of the Enclave with our missionary speaking about “The Power of Prayer.” If you would like to help, please contact either Rita Schuh (kutsu@mindspring.com) or Emmanuel Kuti (ekuti@hotmail.com).
7:00 p.m. - Senior High Youth Group (Trey)
High schoolers – this is your special night to be with one of our missionaries. Now is the time to begin asking God how he wants you to support his work around the world. It is not too soon to seriously get involved.
Thursday
8:30 a.m. - * Capitol Tour & Lunch (Trey)
Each year, we treat the missionaries to a special behind the scenes tour of the Capitol. If you would like to join us, to see the tour, and have extra time with the missionary, sign up quickly. There is only room for a total of 15 people. We will eat lunch together at the Capital cafeteria before returning home. Bring money accordingly.

Friday
9:30 a.m. - Women’s Prayer Meeting (Sue)
All women are invited to join the “Living Water” Prayer meeting to meet with and pray for Sue Pankratz.
6:00 p.m. - Outreach Event at Good Hope (Trey, Jeff C.)
This outreach event is designed to reach families who live in the Good Hope Community. Our missionaries will speak on the subject of “Culture” and the interesting challenges of learning a new one. KIDZ CHALLENGE will offer “World Tour 2010” a visit to places where our missionaries serve. Saturday
9:00 a.m. - * Men’s Breakfast (Trey, Jeff C.)
In addition to breakfast and time with the missionaries, those who would like to can stick around for some basketball in the Family Life Center. This is a great way to have extra fellowship or to use it as an outreach event by bringing a friend. Cost: $5 per person.

6:00 p.m. - * Family Night Potluck (Pankratz & Climie)
Our annual International Potluck dinner involves every family bringing a dish to share. Bring your food hot and/or ready to eat and be prompt, we want to be able to share everyone’s meal at the same time. A special feature of the evening will be a focus on missionary families with family friendly activities throughout the evening.

Sunday
9:30 a.m. - Children & Youth Sunday School (Jeff C.)
Time will be split between the children and youth as they meet with our missionary from Dominican Republic.
11:00 a.m. - Worship Service (Jeff C.)
This service will be the finale of our week together. At this time, we will begin to collect pledge cards for our desire and ability to: 1) Pray more, 2) Give more and/or 3) Serve more.
